They Would Cry Out
John, chapter three, verses 16 and 17: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
There are many people listening today who see God as someone who demands that we attend His house once a week and sets before us a list of rules by which we must abide. This view can and often leads to spiritual dullness and even discouragement. How different it would be if these same people had an open view of a love from God so eternal, so powerful that it would literally overwhelm them. I dare say, the rules would disappear and they would cry out as the apostle Paul once did, “Lord, what would you have me to do?”
It’s time to pray!
