Resist the Devil And He Will Flee From You
As Christians, we encounter things we've embraced in our lives that might have offered us satisfaction. We believed it for a season but realized it wasn't satisfying when we came closer to it. It could have been education. It could have been a relationship or material things. When you approach it, though, you find it has deceptive power. And it's short of what your life is called to be in God.
Jesus gives us authority against those things in our lives that hinder us, things that bring no satisfaction to us and no benefit to our future. If there's something that offers you satisfaction and still tempts you again today, you have the right to take authority over it.
James 4:7 says, "Therefore, submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Remember, my brother, my sister, there's incredible power in prayer.
It's time to pray.
