Make Us Glad for the Right Reason
In Psalms, chapter 90, beginning at verse 15, the psalmist says, "Make us glad according to the days in which You have afflicted us, the years in which we have seen evil. Let Your work appear to Your servants, and Your glory to their children. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands."\n\nToday, your prayers should sound something like this: "O God, show me what Your purpose for my life is. Not only for me, but for all of Your people. Let those closest to me be touched by what You alone can do through my life. Make me stable in Your power. Let Your work in me be beautiful and something to be desired by others when they see it. Let me not be discouraged from seeking You because of past failure, let Your work begin anew in me today."\n\nIt's time to pray.
