He Hears You and He is Answering
In Luke, chapter 18, verse one, Jesus began a parable by saying, "Men ought always to pray and not lose heart." In our instant society, we've learned to push a button and expect things to instantly appearĀ-a picture, a message, maybe a gift. We've adopted this same expectation with our prayer life. You may not see the answer to your prayer immediately the way you and I want to see it, but we must understand that the kingdom of God doesn't work this way.
You see, His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts, as the prophet Isaiah once said. God hears our prayers and answers in His timing and in His way, not in ours. Some of you may be close to losing heart, if you haven't lost it already. He's not slow, though, concerning His promises and He has not forgotten you. Take time to pray and wait on the Lord. He hears you and He is answering you.
It's time to pray.
