God's Hand Reached Down

2 Peter 2:9–10 says, “Then the Lordknows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjustunder punishment for the day of judgment. And especially those who walkaccording to the flesh and the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. Theyare presumptuous, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil ofdignitaries.”

It canbe so hard to live a godly life in today’s social environment, surrounded dailyby immorality, rebellion against authority,foolish thinking, and evil speech. It can become a temptation to give into its overwhelming influence.

However,in this chapter, scripture gives us a picture of God’s protection. God’s hand reached down to one man, Lot, who had little strengthand led him to safety. Take the hand of Godtoday. Jesus will help you.
