Do Not Be Afraid
Joshua 1:8 says, "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it, for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you to be strong and of good courage? Do not be afraid nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Fear and dismay are potential enemies of Christians reaching their full potential. Fear comes when we're called to face an entrenched and strong enemy, and dismay follows when we look within ourselves and don't see the resources needed to fight the battle.
Remember that the battle is not yours but the Lord's. His presence with and within us is the assurance that victory will be ours. Thank Him for your victory today.
It's time to pray.
